The Muslim mosque was first built in 1981, planned by the Islamic community of Foz do Iguaçu. Its official opening took place on March 23, 1983, when it was named after one of the most important men in Muslim history: Omar Ibn Al-Khatab. The site has an area of ​​600 sq. m, and an oval room with approximately 400 sq. m.
